Thermbond refractory uses a liquid activator other than water, which gives it many advantages over conventional refractories.

Thermbond products do not require a special curing process in order to achieve optimal physical properties. The need for pre-firing in any way is eliminated. In the past, refractory cure-out was the main time constraint during startup. Thermbond eliminated these constraints and costs, and also associated lost production.
